The sounds are fine, the distance you hear some of them needs tweaking a bit. Sometimes you can hear from far away like in 1.6, but it doesn't seem to me to always be like that.

Having played a few pcws and a bit of public I think the gameplay is great. Some pub servers can't run it as well as they should, but that's to be expected.

Very promising start (I wouldn't count the versions from 2 years ago, light-years of a difference).

i was in dust2 b bombsite and there was a guy near the door to b tunnels shooting like mad and i couldn't hear his gun until i got quite close; noticed this a few other places. :/

oh and i find the size of the grenades hilarious.

Grenades are same size as in 1.6 actually. They look bigger when you first throw them because they appear on screen in frames that you don't see them in 1.6. Probably will be changed in the next beta.

If you mean large in general, well that's because a lot of serious 1.6 players would freak out if they were source sized. While I think that mentality is a little silly, I don't really care if it gets more people on the mod.

Besides, if the success starts to build and tournament support gets established they can afford to make less popular changes that will ultimately be for the best (i.e, proper grenade physics and sizing). Certainly possible down the line.

Btw Baraka, 'cl_downloadfilter nosounds' is what you want.

yeh it's just when the grenade is in your hand it's regular size, once thrown, it just grows about 5 times it's size.
it's been so long since i played 1.6 i forgot about the size difference.

First impression was alright... didnt reg much tho...

but that could have been my aim being off after a few months without playing any game
